The Woodstock Top Quality Builders have signed brothers Birk Cassels and Cruz Cassels for the 2026–27 season.
Birk Cassels, a 2006-born goaltender, will enter his third season of junior hockey. He is coming off an outstanding 2025–26 season with the Essex 73’s, where he posted a 20-1-1 record, 1.87 GAA and .916 save percentage in 22 games. Cassels was also named the PJHL Stobbs Division Goalie of the Year and won the division’s Top Goals Against award.
Joining his brother in Woodstock is Cruz Cassels, who will begin his first season of junior hockey. Cruz is a forward and was selected by the Barrie Colts in the 10th round, 199th overall, of the 2025 OHL Priority Selection. He recorded 23 points in 38 games with the Ohio Blue Jackets during the 2024–25 season.
